The purpose of NSSA is to promote youth soccer in the area served by the Roseville Area and Mounds View public school districts in the north metro area of the Twin Cities of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, Minnesota. All our programs, such as house, training, travel and tournaments, must maintain fiscal discipline and are to be mutually supported by the NSSA Board, volunteers and leadership. What Information Does NSSA Collect?
To form teams in compliance with the rules of the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association (MYSA), of which NSSA is a member, to improve the quality of the products and services NSSA offers to you and your family, and to operate the Site, NSSA collects certain personal identifying information (as described below). NSSA gathers most information during its periodic registration process to allow you and your family to use NSSA’s services and products. Registration information may be gathered online or otherwise in written form. NSSA may request or receive personal identifying information at other times, including, but not limited to, when you purchase a product using the Site, when you access content on the Site, when you report a problem with our Site, and when you complete survey forms. Site users will need to “accept” the Terms of Use (posted on this web site) in order to continue with certain operations.Contact Information: Upon registration and at other times, NSSA may request or require contact information, such as your name and the names of your children who are being registered to play soccer within NSSA, address, phone number(s) and e-mail address(es).
Demographic Information: NSSA will collect certain demographic and profile data in order to form teams under the rules of MYSA (e.g., gender, age, grade-level).
Use of Photographs and Player Identification: By submitting articles and photographs for website posting and/or media distribution, team representatives and individual members authorize NSSA on behalf of all named and pictured parties to in fact publish these items. It is NSSA policy not to refer to pictured minors by name. So any photograph reference will refer to players generally but not specifically.
How Does NSSA Use that Information?
Below, we provide more detail on how NSSA uses your personal identifying information.
Contact Information: NSSA may use your contact information to (i) provide its services and form teams in accordance with NSSA policies and the rules of MYSA, including furnishing information to MYSA as required in order to obtain player passes for traveling teams and rec-plus teams, (ii) create a personalized experience, (iii) complete a transaction conducted through the Site, and (iv) contact you when necessary with respect to NSSA news, transactions conducted through the Site, material changes in our Site’s policies, new services NSSA may offer, or otherwise. All registration information and medical information collected on the MYSA Liability/Medical Release form, is provided to the program directors, the age group coordinators and the coaches and/or managers for each team. The Site is hosted by a third party in order for NSSA to provide its services and complete transactions conducted through the Site. We do NOT rent, license, or sell contact information to any third party.
Demographic Information: NSSA may use demographic
data on an aggregated basis, which will not identify any particular
User, for internal business purposes and may also share such aggregated
demographic information with advertisers or other third parties,
including our business partners, suppliers, sponsors, and vendors (i)
for management and monitoring purposes, (ii) to improve the quality of
NSSA’s services, (iii) to provide our services, (iv) when we employ
other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf
(i.e., any third-party registrar hired by NSSA), and (v) when it is
specifically stated otherwise.
As necessary to form teams in accordance with NSSA policies and the
rules of MYSA, the NSSA registrar and NSSA adults registered with MYSA
will communicate Contact Information and Demographic Information to
MYSA, program directors, age group coordinators and team coaches and
managers. These communications are frequently performed through
unencrypted email transmissions.
What are Elecronic Cookies and How are They Used?
NSSA may use electronic cookies to enhance your experience while using our Site. Cookies are pieces of information, which NSSA uses for record-keeping purposes, which the Site transfers to your computer’s web-browser for storage on your computer’s hard drive. NSSA may maintain your information for up to three (3) years after your last player registration in a calendar season (Fall-Spring) and/or so long as you are active as a volunteer. If NSSA sends you such a communication, NSSA will provide you with the opportunity to opt-out of receiving similar future correspondence by sending and e-mail to NSSA.
What About Correcting, Deleting, or Updating Information?
At any time, you may contact NSSA to correct, modify, or delete the
information you provide to NSSA through this Site. Please e-mail
the Communications Director with any requests or changes. In
addition, when you and your family cease to use NSSA’s services and no
longer wish to be included as a part of its directory, we request that

to have your information removed from our database. In the event
that NSSA receives such a request or change, NSSA may require you to
confirm or verify any change to your record.
NSSA cares about the safety of children on its Site and encourages parents and guardians to monitor their children’s use of the Internet. Although the Site is a general audience site, NSSA intends registration and commerce transactions only for users 18 years of age and older. NSSA will not knowingly collect personal identifying information from users under the age of 18.
