Jacob and Katelynn Fast both grew up in the Twin Cities competing in MYSA their entire childhoods. They played high school soccer for Henry Sibley High School and Minnehaha Academy respectively. Jacob attended University of Northwestern (2008 graduate) and Katelynn attended Bethel University (2010 graduate). Each played four seasons and captained their teams during their senior years.
Jacob has coached for several MYSA clubs since 2005 before coming to NSSA in 2011. Katelynn has also held positions in multiple MYSA clubs since 2008 before arriving at NSSA in 2012. (Fun fact: Jacob and Katelynn met coaching against each other in 2011!) Katelynn has also coached at multiple high schools and in 2013 joined the Mounds View coaching staff where she is now the Girls Varsity Coach.
Currently Jacob and Katelynn serve as Co-Directors of Coaching for North Suburban Soccer Association. As DOC, their focus is on developing NSSA’s players and coaches on and off the field through structured, technical and tactical focused training sessions and coach education clinics. Jacob currently holds a "C" license" and Katelynn holds a "D license" from the United States Soccer Federation and a "National Youth" License.
