STORM Jr. Academy for U3-U8

HOW ARE TRAINING SESSIONS ORGANIZED?

Players will be taught technical and tactical ideas in an engaging, challenging and exciting environment. A typical training session will consist of technical training, foundational, tactical ideas and guided free-play overseen and enhanced by NSSA’s professional training staff. STORM JR. ACADEMY provides an arena that allows a player to take hundreds of touches on the ball each week and face situations where they will be challenged to make decisions.

The NSSA STORM Jr. Academy Developmental Program provides an innovative format that teaches foundational skills for young soccer players and is in line with US Youth Soccer “best practices.”

No prior playing experience is necessary to join. Our STORM Jr. Academy is a bridge program that will prepare players for the transition to competitive, or provide the basic foundations for those choosing to play recreational soccer, when they graduate out of the Jr. Academy.

Our #1 goal with STORM Jr. Academy is to instill a passion for the game. We provide engaging training sessions that focus on helping players get comfortable on the ball and that encourages players to make decisions and take risks while having fun!  Each session, our young players get 800+ touches on the ball.

STORM Jr. Academy sessions are led by NSSA training staff with backgrounds in childhood development, psychology, youth studies, sports science and soccer. NSSA’s age-appropriate curriculum has been designed by our Directors of Coaching and staff following guidelines of US Youth Soccer and follows a format to introduce a variety of concepts to our young players while keeping the focus on developing enthusiasm for playing soccer.  Our staff cares about the success and enjoyment of each player. Many of our trainers have been a part of our staff for years and are excited to provide a structured environment to help your young player fall in love with soccer while learning the game.
